I FOUND AN HONEST CAR-REPAIR SHOP! My mechanic told me I had to get a complete transmission flush for my Audi. $350. I found Crompton's online, told them to do the job, and left my car for the afternoon. In an hour they called and said they did not think it was needed. When I told them my mechanic said the transmission oil was dirty, they said, "Let's check more deeply." An hour later they called: they'd checked the oil in two different ways, did a drive-test, and said, "Nope. Your oil is fine." But on the drive test, they noticed the transmission was slipping a bit, which tipped them off to check the oil level: it was DOWN two litres. Not good. So they topped it up, probably saving me from a blown transmission in the next months, because no way I'd have known. The kicker? the manager, Ben, didn't charge me a penny. Even when I insisted. "It's just a couple of litres of oil..." he said. I've already sent my brother here. Really refreshing to find this place.

I had the timing belt and water pump replaced on my 2007 Volvo S60 and was very pleased with the service I received from Crompton's. The work was completed in a timely fashion and within the estimated quoted price. Since I only recently got the car back time will tell as to the quality of their work. Good for them for offering a 3 year / 36,000K warranty on their work!

Ben did very satisfactory work on my truck. As I was waiting I observed Ben giving very informative information to other customers in regards to their auto needs. That speaks well to me that they care about there customers and I will be back the next time I’m on the coast.
